Thailand is the land of smiles, the smiles here welcome millions of tourist from all over the world each and every year. I am lucky enough to spend most of my time here in Thailand, I feel blessed to enjoy the sunshine, food and friendly people every day.
So here are 3 reasons why I love Thailand:
The Food
I used to think that Indian food could never be beaten but that was so wrong. In Thailand everything tastes good, and don’t worry if you’re not in to spicy food because in the tourist areas they’ve toned down on the chilli. On the other hand if you do love a bit of burn on your tongue the Thai’s will be more than happy to oblige. I recommend ordering Pad Krapow, that is a mixture of minced pork, chilli and basil – it sounds simple but the taste is unbelievable, especially when topped with an egg. The People
Thai people are extremely friendly and welcoming. When you’re in the big cities it feels like you could be anywhere in the world, buildings look the same and people are always rushing around. When you get out in to the more rural areas people are amazing and some of the best people I have ever met. You will be blown away by the hospitality here, people are always willing to help.
The Weather
Thailand experiences a rainy season from around June to September, it’s not the best time to visit but if it’s your only choice you should still go because it doesn’t rain for the whole day. The sun is always shining so if you like getting a tan and chilling by the beach it is the destination for you. The ideal time is November to February, the weather during the day is still hot but the evenings are nice and cooler than usual.
