I am always waxing lyrical to everyone I meet about how much I love Punta Mita and why I think they should go there on their next holiday. There really isn’t anything to dislike about the place, it’s heaven!

There are loads of hotels there but now Punta Mita vacation rentals are so good we are all spoiled for choice. So after you’ve sorted out your accommodation, here’s what you can look forward to.

World Famous Diving

Before I visited Punta Mita I had never been diving or even snorkeling, but there you will find some of the best diving in the world. It doesn’t matter, if like me, you have zero experience because they have some world class instructors to help you along. When you get under the sea you’ll be amazed by what you find – tropical fish, dolphins and even sea turtles. There’s also the chance to explore the reefs and underwater caves as well.

Catch the waves

Whether you’ve been catching the breaks for years or are a complete novice it doesn’t matter, it’s time to enjoy some of the best waves you can find just off the coast of Punta Mita. You can either grab your board and find the best places yourself or you can tag along with some experienced locals for a great day out.

Relaxing Beachside Towns

Even though Punta Mita is a real haven for tourists it’s not difficult to find yourself a quiet little spot to relax. There are many famous restaurants, a fantastic beach side promenade and even a new pier to stroll along. My favourite place to relax is the quiet surfing village of Sayulita, it’s the perfect place to go if you’re travelling with your family. Wherever you end up going you can be guaranteed to find lovely local tunes playing, sunset cocktails and mouth watering food whilst staring out at the ocean.

Have you been to Punta Mita? I would love to hear about your experiences, tips and stories. I think it’s great when we, as a travel community, can share our musings with others – I am sure it will make even more people want to visit this paradise as soon as possible.
